Arthur V. Ciervo Award
Susan Snyder, Philadelphia Inquirer

Susan SnyderA Pulitzer Prize recipient, Susan Snyder has been covering education for the Philadelphia Inquirer since 1998, much of that time as the higher education reporter. During that time, higher education experienced unprecedented change. University presidents have come and gone, institutions have consolidated or closed, and enrollment demographics have shifted. The one constant has been Susan Snyder, who has delivered balanced, thorough, and insightful reporting on issues and trends impacting higher education. In addition, Snyder served as a panelist at several CUPRAP conferences and workshops, providing members with insight into the media’s coverage of higher education and valuable tips on how to pitch stories to her and other reporters. Susan is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
