A message from the President of CUPRAP

Dear CUPRAP members,

As always, I hope this finds you and your loved ones safe and well. I wanted to update you on a few happenings regarding your favorite professional development organization.

Around 180 people attended the free Digital and Enrollment Marketing Virtual Workshop that we hosted with Carnegie Dartlet last month. If you were among them, thank you for participating! The sessions  were very well received. The CUPRAP board continues to explore ways to offer valuable programming despite the constraints under which we are working.

On that note, we made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the Spring 2021 conference. Restrictions on gathering sizes in Pennsylvania would have prevented us from effectively conducting sessions and networking as we are accustomed to. On top of that, the resurgence of the pandemic in the state and the vast uncertainty of what the next several months might bring demand that we practice extreme caution. Like you, we will greatly miss the camaraderie and excitement of the in-person experience. But your health and safety take priority. We are exploring virtual workshops and networking options to offer in the spring and will keep you updated.

The good news is that the CUPPIES and annual awards programs will go on, albeit in different formats and under revised timelines. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information.

We welcome your thoughts and question on these and any other CUPRAP matters. Please take care of yourselves. On behalf of the board, we can ™t wait to see you again.

Best,

Tom Durso

President, CUPRAP
