Scientists and medical professionals agree that mask wearing helps combat the spread of COVID-19. Many colleges who are reopening are making masks mandatory to get students back on campus and keep them safe. But, this Chronicle of Higher Education article investigates the consequences of mandatory masking up because– the reality is– it may not be an option for everyone.
